CRG actions
On behalf of the GMMMG Clinical Reference Group, we now seek comments on the actions proposed at the June 2025 CRG meeting. Actions in this consultation include:
- Budesonide foam enema and rectal solution – green (specialist advice), 3rd line after oral and topical 5-ASAs
- Ciclosporin 0.09% eye drops – green (specialist initiation)
- Cyanocobalamin 1mg tablets – green. 1st line for medicine-induced B12 deficiency where short-term treatment (<6 months) is anticipated, 2nd line alternative alternative where IM hydroxocobalamin is unsuitable due to intolerance or needle phobia for specified indications
- Cyanocobalamin 50, 100, and 500 microgram tablets for B12 deficiency – Do Not Prescribe
- Hydrocortisone 0.5% cream – Do Not Prescribe

GLP-1 RA eligibility alignment
On behalf of GM ICB and GMMMG we are seeking feedback on the alignment of eligibility criteria for all GLP-1 receptor agonists for management of overweight and obesity. The proposal seeks to align the eligibility criteria for semaglutide and liraglutide with NHSE criteria currently applied for tirzepatide, and is intended to reduce variation and promote consistency and fairness in prescribing across GM.
